In an exciting partnership, the Department of Local Government, Sport and Cultural Industries (DLGSC) joined forces with Cahoots to create an exceptional outdoor adventure program catered to school-aged children living with disabilities. With the experienced team from Cahoots’ Kerem Adventure Camp leading the way, 731 kids from 18 schools immersed themselves in a transformative outdoor experience, blending fun with learning.
Accessible Adventures:
Utilising Cahoots’ recently acquired Camp Kerem, the program brought staff and equipment directly to the school grounds, ensuring easy access for all participants. Amidst the great outdoors, kids explored archery, uncovered bush tucker secrets, bonded through team activities, and ignited their excitement with laser tag. Guided by Cahoots’ expertise, these outdoor experiences evolved beyond mere activities, becoming stepping stones toward self-discovery and empowerment.
Creating Bridges, Breaking Barriers:
Crucial support from DLGSC brought this adventure to life, reflecting a joint commitment to inclusivity and empowerment. This partnership exemplifies the potential of collaboration to dismantle obstacles, replacing them with bridges of opportunity. Laughter and camaraderie from the program still resonate, showcasing the connections and joy shared by children who, like their peers, deserve moments of shared delight.
A Future of Inspiring Partnerships:
The collaboration between DLGSC and Cahoots continues to fuel inspiration, motivating all to aim higher, dream bigger, and conquer challenges. As we forge ahead, we’re thrilled to continue our impactful work and remain hopeful for more exciting partnerships with DLGSC in the times to come.
Warmest regards,
The Cahoots and Kerem Adventure Camp Team
