Celebrate the Holidays with Perth’s Best Free Light Trails!

The holiday season in Perth is in full swing, with twinkling lights and festive cheer filling the air. If you’re looking to get into the Christmas spirit, here at Cahoots we’ve rounded up three, free and accessible light trails for everyone!

RioTinto Christmas Light Trail

Choose between the full loop or the family-friendly “Merry Mile.” With 20 dazzling installations, this trail is sure to delight! The City of Perth have made all their carparks and street parking free after 6pm, making it easy and safe for everyone to explore. Starting in Yagan Square with a jewel tree, you’ll pass through Hay Street to see a Christmas Kookaburra and end at Elizabeth Quay where you can explore a glowing castle of light.

Step into a world of Christmas magic as you stroll through the City of Vincent, where the Christmas Light Trail showcases lit-up presents, various animals, and twinkling lights strung across the streets.

Twilight Trail in Subiaco

Wander through Subiaco and experience seven stunning large-scale light displays along a walkable trail, including a huge golden tree and plenty of sparking photo ops. The festive glow extends to Shenton Park, where an eighth installation awaits around at the corner of Onslow Road and Excelsior Street.

For many, Cahoots is a life changing experience for both the participants who grow, learn and enjoy themselves, but it also provides respite to parents and families from the demands of full time care. Anything you can spare is greatly appreciated.
