GENERAL

Cahoots Connects is a free, safe and accessible shopping delivery service for the WA community.   

Helping those feeling too anxious to get shopping and weekly supplies, over the age of 65, living with a disability, experiencing mental health concerns, immunocompromised, of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander origin, of Culturally and Linguistically Diverse backgrounds, a carer for any of the above and people experiencing financial hardships.   

And if you need extra assistance when your goods are delivered to your home, our highly trained delivery teams of two will unpack your goods to your fridge or pantry. 

Cahoots Connects offers the following services: 

  • Online “Click & Collect” deliveries from Woolworths, Foodbank, Coles, Big W, K Mart, Target, Officeworks or Bunnings  
  • Phone orders for Woolworths and Foodbank deliveries. 

Click & Collect Online:  

  1. Do Your Shopping: 

    – Go to one of the following Supplier’s websites Woolworths, Coles, Big W, K Mart, Target, Officeworks or Bunnings.  
    – Create an account or login (if you have an existing account)
    – Select Your Nearest Store
    – Select the items you wish to buy  
  2. At the check out screen, select “Collect in Store” and write “Cahoots Connects will collect my delivery” in the additional notes section.
  3. Pay for your shopping order
  4. Email us your shopping confirmation: Once you have completed your online order, please forward the confirmation email from the selected store to: connects@cahoots.org.au
  5. Complete the Cahoots Delivery Form: Please complete the delivery form so we know where to deliver to, how to contact you to confirm delivery time.    

Foodbank online: 

  1. Go to our Foodbank Online Store
  2. Enter required personal and delivery details.  
  3. Select the Foodbank hampers and frozen meals you would like.
  4. Enter your credit card details and pay for the goods ordered.
  5. We will get in contact to confirm your delivery details
  6. We will collect your shopping and send a delivery time.
  7. We will deliver to your door or a secure place of your choice.

Phone orders (for Woolworths and Foodbank only) 

  1. Prepare your shopping list beforehand. What would you like to order; think about brand preferences, size etc… so we can process your order as efficiently as possible. 
  2. Call 1300 103 880 
  3. Our friendly team will ask a series of questions to establish your suitability, gather your personal and delivery details and will then take your order for Woolworths and/or Foodbank products. 
  4. We will take your credit card details and process an “authorisation” for the total amount ordered.  
  5. We do not actually charge your card at this stage given the products may not be available or may be substituted and prices may vary.  
  6. When we pickup your order we confirm final amount and process the payment (note this is never more than authorisation amount) 
  7. If you would prefer to pay via contactless EFTPOS or Cash, please let our team member know so we can arrange this for you. 
  8. We will get in contact to confirm your delivery details 
  9. We will collect your shopping and send a delivery time 
  10. We will deliver to your door or a secure place of your choice. 

Yes, Cahoots Connects is endorsed by the Department of Communities and Western Australian Government.

Tuesday: 9am to 8pm

Wednesday: 9am to 8pm

Thursday: 9am to 8pm

Friday: 9am to 5pm 

Saturday: 9am to 1pm 

Sunday: Closed 

Public Holidays: Closed 

Delivery days: Tuesday and Friday
Orders close 4pm Monday for Tuesday deliveries and 4pm Thursday for Friday deliveries.
Urgent deliveries can be made by special request

Cahoots Connects does not deliver or take phone orders on Sundays or Public Holidays. Online orders can be placed 24/7.

PRODUCTS

Products provided by Cahoots Connects include the following:   

Click & Collect Online: 

Any items* available from Woolworths, Coles, Big W, K Mart, Target, Officeworks or Bunnings online.  

*Subject to the following limitations: 
– Weight: maximum 20kg per order.  Size: 115cm (L) x 86cm (W) x 48 (H) per item, which can be found in the product specifications. 
– Your order must have a minimum value (whichever is greater) of $30 or Supplier’s minimum order amount. 
– We are unable to deliver any hazardous goods including, but not limited to, chemicals, gases, knives and sharp tools or alcoholic products. 
– You must select the nearest store to your delivery address unless stock is unavailable, in which case we will deliver from a selected store within 20km of your delivery address.

Foodbank products (via Cahoots Connects website): 

– Emergency Food Relief Hamper 
– Fruit and Veg Hamper 
– Frozen Meat Hamper 
– Frozen Meals Hamper 
– Frozen Small/Individual Meals 

Phone orders:  

Any items* available from Woolworths online (with the exception of alcohol), plus Foodbank hampers and frozen meals.  
If accessing financial support, no gift cards, tobacco or alcohol products can be purchased. 

Click & Collect: 

You must select the nearest store to your delivery address unless stock is unavailable, in which case we will deliver from a selected store within 20km of your delivery address. 

  

Phone orders:  

Woolworths or Foodbank will substitute out of stock products where possible.  If a substitute cannot be found, you will not be charged for that product. 

Cahoots Connects we will arrange pickup and delivery from selected suppliers that allow community Click & Collect including Woolworths, Coles, Big W, K Mart, Target, Officeworks or Bunnings online.  

Foodbank frozen meals and hampers can also be accessed through Cahoots Connects

Cahoots Connects deliver a variety of frozen meals through Foodbank WA, which can be ordered online here or by calling 1300 103 880.

For hot meals, Chorus Kitchen offer the choice and convenience of cost effective, healthy meals that are prepared fresh each day to people in WA who are experiencing hardship. Give them a call on 1800 861 617 or checkout their website to order.

Click & Collect:  

Your order must have a minimum value (whichever is greater) of $30 or Supplier’s minimum order amount. 

 

Phone orders: 

The minimum order through Woolworths is $30, however we do ask that you order enough shopping to last at least a week so that we are able to help as many people as possible through Cahoots Connects. 

Click & Collect: 

Cahoots Connects will arrange pickup and delivery from selected suppliers that allow community Click & Collect; subject to the following limitations: 

  • Weight: maximum 20kg per order.   
  • Size: 115cm (L) x 86cm (W) x 48 (H) per item, which can be found in the product specifications. 

 

Foodbank:  

$70 of goods per order. We recommend no more than 1-2 of each hamper per family per week. Foodbank hampers are targeted at those in financial hardship and/or experiencing food insecurity, we need to ensure all people in need can access essential food relief. 

 

Phone orders:  

Cahoots Connects will be following ‘per customer limits’ enforced by supermarkets.  
Please note this is subject to change in accordance with supermarket updates. 

Woolworths add a $1 packaging fee for each order, this includes picking, packing and bagging. 

Other Suppliers may add a small fee automatically per order to cover bags used for packing your order. 

Cahoots Connects can refer your call to a pharmacy near you for delivery of pharmaceuticals. Basic pharmaceuticals stocked at Supermarkets will be available to purchase through Cahoots Connects. (e.g. paracetamol).  

Although drinking and smoking is not encouraged by Cahoots Connects, we understand breaking addictions can be difficult. You can order tobacco, but not alcohol products.

FOODBANK HAMPERS & FROZEN MEALS

Unfortunately Foodbank hampers and frozen meals do not cater for any dietary or religious requirements.

Yes Cahoots Connects offers the following online services: 

Click & Collect: Delivery for Click & Collect orders from Woolworths, Coles, Big W, K Mart, Target, Officeworks or Bunnings can be arranged by completing the delivery form here

If the supplier site saves your previous order under your profile, then you should be able to access this in future. 

 

Orders via phone: 

Your previous order will be saved under your customer profile and can be used for future orders. We will confirm the items you would like to purchase each time to ensure it is correct.   

Foodbank
If there is an issue with the goods delivered to you or the service you were provided, please contact us on connects@cahoots.org.au or 1300 103 880 and let us know so we can resolve the issue as soon as possible.   

Click & Collect 
If there is an issue with the delivery service, please contact us on connects@cahoots.org.au or 1300 103 880. If there is an issue with the goods themselves, you will need to contact your chosen Supplier directly as Cahoots simply picks up and delivers on your behalf. 

Click & Collect:
Rewards cards can be used when placing a Click & Collect order directly through the suppliers online store. 

Phone orders:
When placing orders through our call support centre, customers are unable to use Woolworths rewards cards. 

DELIVERY

Cahoots Connects offer deliveries on a Tuesday and Friday.
Urgent deliveries can be made by special request
Orders close 4pm Monday for Tuesday deliveries and 4pm Thursday for Friday deliveries.

Cahoots Connects will leave your delivery at your door, or another accessible location you specify.   

If you need some extra help our highly trained and caring delivery teams of two, will even unpack your groceries to your fridge and pantry, if it is safe to do so.

Yes, Cahoots Connects is powered by Cahoots, an experienced disability services provider for over 35 years.  

Cahoots Connects is delivering to Perth, Bunbury and Mandurah and will be expanding to other regional areas soon.

Yes, Cahoots Connects is available in Bunbury and Mandurah.

PAYMENT & FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE

Cahoots Connects is a FREE delivery service for eligible* members of the WA community. Customers only pay for their goods purchased. 

If you are  experiencing financial hardship and are not able to pay for your order, you may be eligible for emergency food relief. Cahoots Connects has a partnership with the Emergency Relief & Food Access Service and can work with them to determine your eligibility for financial support when you call us. 

Payment can be made in the following ways:  

– Credit Card 
– Eftpos on delivery 
– Visa Debit or Mastercard Debit 

Please note: Cash payments can be made on delivery, however this method is not preferred and should only be used when preferred payment options are unavailable.

Cahoots Connects uses a secure and trusted payment platform and follows strict processes to protect your information.

 If you are experiencing financial hardship and are not able to pay for your order, you may be eligible for emergency food relief. Due to the current economic situation, WA has seen many individuals and families facing financial challenges.    

If you need some extra help, Cahoots Connects is working with financial counselling and assistance partners and Foodbank WA help families through these challenging times. 

Together we aim to ensure that families can get some early support for the supplies they need and are looked after through access to financial counselling and food relief options.  

In order to access financial assistance through Cahoots Connects call 1300 103 880, our friendly and caring team will walk you through simple eligibility and the options that you have available to you.  

The questions you can expect to be asked include:  

If you are able to pay for your groceries, and the amount of people living in your household. 

Depending on your needs and situation we could offer you one voucher through our financial assistance partners and discounted hampers and orders through Foodbank WA.  

We understand financial assistance could be a sensitive matter and we will do our best to assist you and your family through support from one of our partners. 

Financial assistance vouchers can be used to purchase groceries from Foodbank & Woolworths. 

SAFETY

The 24-hour, seven day a week Mental Health Emergency Response Line has professionals who can provide advice about mental health problems and, if needed, assist with access to mental health care.

Cahoots Connects ensures safety through strict COVID19 processes, safeguarding standards and PPE (personal protective equipment). We follow all government protective guidelines on physical distancing and hygiene and have undertaken the Department of Health training in infection control procedures.   

Some of our safeguarding measures include: 

All Cahoots Connects staff and volunteers will wear the following PPE (personal protective equipment) during deliveries and unpacking.

When conducting deliveries and unpacking;

  • Disposable gloves
  • Disposable face masks 

Our service delivery team will only enter a person’s home if it is safe to do so, and with another team member (not alone) – this is to ensure safety for both customers and our team

All Cahoots Connects staff and volunteers undergo extensive screening processes and infection prevention training. 

All Cahoots Connects vehicles will be equipped with dash cams and sanitizing kits. Vehicles are to be cleaned and sanitized after each delivery, prior to the next delivery.  

Cahoots Connects take advice from Federal and State Government, and recommend to all our staff and volunteers to download the CovidSafe app and keep it active at all times. Safety of our customers, staff, volunteers and community remains our top priority.
