Western Australian human services organisation PeopleKind Group is joining forces with Cahoots.
Under the arrangement Cahoots will become a separate entity within the PeopleKind structure, retaining its own brand, culture, and executive leadership and staff.
PeopleKind Group already has a diverse portfolio as a parent company to Nulsen Disability Services, allied health provider Superyou, housing provider Nesti, justice support service Outcare, NDIS plan coordinator Pillar, Melior focussing on behavioural support and Liift training.
Cahoots, the trading name for Kids Camps Inc, has built a powerful reputation since its establishment in 1981 through providing camps and inclusive community programs for young West Australians living with disability.
PeopleKind Group Chief Executive Gordon Trewern said the arrangement was a win / win for both organisations by further diversifying the PeopleKind offering, while enabling and enhancing the opportunity for Cahoots to grow.
“Through its decades providing supportive and fun camps for Western Australian children and youth, Cahoots is well known and well respected. The organisation is a good fit with our own established services such as Nulsen and Outcare which are established leaders in the areas which they operate,” Mr Trewern said.
“The Cahoots Board have recognised that our scale, combined with our values and track record, has the clear potential to provide Cahoots the organisational support to grow while remaining authentic to the vision that underpinned its creation,” Mr Trewern said.
Cahoots Chief Executive Officer David Armstrong said that joining PeopleKind is the result of looking at where we are now and the best way for us to grow to support our families and staff.
“PeopleKind Group was the best fit, “ Mr Armstrong added.
Cahoots’ transition into PeopleKind Group will take place from 1 July 2024.
