Act Belong Commit Cahoots in Concert, is a virtual community-based talent contest for young people to share their amazing talent with the WA community.
Cost to enter:  Free
Entry criteria:  Solo acts or a group of up to 6 performers can enter, there is no age restriction for entrants
Entry categories:  Entrants can enter an act that is in either singing, dancing or theatre/drama

We warmly welcome entries from those living with a disability of facing exceptional challenges. 

– All inclusive contest for those living with a physical, behavioural or intellectual, disability or condition that significantly impacts a young persons ability to maximise everyday opportunities, socialise and participate in the community
– Shortlisting is based on a case by case consideration of the contestants unique and particular challenge they are trying to overcome. 
– Selection is not based on comparison of one contestant against another.  
– Our esteemed selection panel are mindful that each exceptional challenge requires its own consideration, and recognise the courage to overcome this by participating the Cahoots in Concert contest. 

Each year we have been very proud to present exceptionally talented individuals, who have poured their hearts out and showcased not just their musical ability,  but their diligence, determination and dedication.

Selection panel

We are very excited to have three amazing and esteemed community members who form our selection panel, and who will be selecting our 2021 finalists.

Registration to enter Act Belong Commit Cahoots in Concert talent contest is free.

Registration application submissions open Thursday 24th June 2021 and close Thursday 15th July 2021. 

Finalists will be shortlisted and notified on Saturday 17 July 2021. 

All 5 finalists are required to attend a live filmed studio performance on Sunday 25th July 2021.

Online voting will open on Wednesday 4 August 2021, where finalists will be encouraged to share their professional performance video amongst their networks to encourage votes in their favour. 

Voting will close on Wednesday 18 August 2021 with category winners selected by peoples choice voting and a judges vote awards category.

Winners will be announced at a VIP awards function on Saturday 21st August 2021.  

Contestants must complete the attached entry form AND film a video entry of no longer than 3 minutes.

This should include:
• A brief introduction of the person/group, including name, age, and any interesting information about why they are entering Act Belong Commit Cahoots in Concert talent contest (1 min max)
• A performance can be from singing, dancing, or any theatre genre (comedy, drama, poetry etc.)

Both the entry form and the video must be submitted by close of business Thursday 15th July 2021.
All entries will be treated as confidential.
Finalists will be notified on Saturday 17th July 2021.

We warmly welcome entries from all abilities, including those living with a disability or facing exceptional challenges.

To be considered for this contest:
1. You must be a resident of Western Australia.
2. Finalists will need to arrange any support needed for performances.
3. Entrants under 16 years must be accompanied by an adult at the event.

You must complete your entry form and submit your video clip by close of
business (5 pm), Thursday 15th July 2021

Late entries will not be accepted.

Your video clip must follow this format:
a. Please name your file using this format: FIRSTNAMELASTNAME.     E.g. PEGGYJONES
b. Please state your name and age clearly before you commence filming your act on video.
c. Include 1 song/performance only, no longer than 3 minutes’ duration.
