Cahoots programs are only made possible by the generous support and assistance of volunteers from the community.
Joining our programs and attending our camps is a great way to learn new skills, meet new people, have fun and get away from the stress of everyday life while making a positive contribution to the community and to the lives of people living with disability, their families, and carers.
When you join the Cahoots volunteer team you will automatically receive our mailout every quarter, as well as invites to fun social events to meet and hang out with your fellow volunteers. You’ll also have the opportunity to earn great prizes through our Volunteer Recognition Scheme.
We run 2, 4 and 6 day programs throughout the year, so there’s sure to be something to suits your schedule. We’re also always on the lookout for volunteers to get involved with one-off fundraising events.
Our volunteers are enthusiastic and caring individuals aged 17+ with diverse backgrounds and experiences.
Our largest group of volunteers consists of tertiary students wanting to gain practical, hands-on experience working with children or in the areas of recreation and special needs.
In fact, many tertiary institutions recommend involvement in our programs for placements and community service hours.
If you choose to undertake your placement with us we will happily complete the required paperwork and evaluations. Contact our volunteer coordinator to find out more information about becoming one of our awesome volunteers.
